It is designed for hybrid environments and can manage and audit both on-premises farms and Microsoft 365 tenants from a single console simultaneously. It supports up to 5 farms or Microsoft 365 tenants in predefined pricing slabs, with custom quotes available for larger environments.

What is the difference between Standard and Professional editions?

The Standard edition provides the complete set of predefined reporting, alerting, and auditing features – 50+ reports, 70+ audit reports, scheduled reports, alert profiles, and audit archiving. The Professional edition adds SharePoint permission management, group management, user management, granular delegation, migration between SharePoint versions and to SharePoint Online, file share import, and copy site contents capabilities. Both editions are licensed annually per farm or Microsoft 365 tenant.

Does SharePoint Manager Plus require server-side installation?

No. SharePoint Manager Plus is a fully agentless solution – it does not require any server-side installation for analysing and auditing SharePoint server data. It connects to your SharePoint farms and Microsoft 365 tenants remotely using a service account with the appropriate permissions. This means zero footprint on your SharePoint servers and no impact on SharePoint performance.

How does SharePoint Manager Plus support GDPR and nFADP compliance?

SharePoint Manager Plus provides 70+ out-of-the-box audit reports covering component-level and security-level changes – exactly the audit trail documentation required for GDPR and nFADP compliance. Audit data can be archived for a configurable retention period and exported in XLS, CSV, PDF, and HTML formats. Under Switzerland’s nFADP (personal liability up to CHF 250,000 per violation), the ability to produce complete, timestamped audit documentation on demand is a core compliance control. KIDAN’s implementation includes Swiss-specific compliance guidance.

What migration capabilities does SharePoint Manager Plus offer?

SharePoint Manager Plus Professional includes a built-in migration tool supporting migration between SharePoint on-premises versions (2013, 2016, 2019) and migration to SharePoint Online. You can migrate whole site collections or granularly move individual objects – files, lists, and document libraries. The Copy Site Contents feature enables parallel environment deployment. The File Share Import tool allows direct import from shared network drives or local machines to SharePoint. Migration management is available without additional tooling or professional services.
